I know I didn’t really talk about the whole “Imma let you finish” thing with Kanye West and Taylor Swift(Let’s just say I was less than pleased with Kanye), but after reading this, I thought it was my turn to talk about it.
Basically, they’re saying that Taylor’s getting all this recognition from the whole Kanye incident. While it’s undeniable to say that she’s getting recognized, it’s unfair to say that she doesn’t deserve it. They compared her to Lady Gaga and Beyonce, and oh sure, they mentioned that she writes her songs and she plays guitar, but they focused more on the fact she lacks concert appeal.
Personally, I think Lady Gaga and Beyonce are just as good singers, but they are missing some stuff. Just because they’re both great performers live, doesn’t mean they’re perfect. Believe it or not, Lady Gaga used to be a Norah Jones-esque singer. Then, she had to change herself completely to get recognized. And Beyonce? Most people liked Single Ladies because of her body. :\ Both of them also probably have professional writers behind them, so they don’t even write their own songs.
