Wii, the Simmers, are Angry

Or at least I am.

Today, I went on the Sims 3 Website, and I saw this:

sims3

Yeah. The Sims 3. On consoles. While they still need to fix games. And improve their forum.

I would just shrug it off, but some stuff didn’t make sense.

WHY were they even thinking of giving the Console Versions some exclusive features? Did they consider that the PC game fans wanted these, and they’re just going to get even madder at EA? Aliens and controlling weather. If they added pets, most fans would be going rabid. And why couldn’t they add these traits into the PC game?

How are they going to pull this off for the Wii? The Sims 3 is a “teen game”, and we all know how Sims 2 Pets for the Wii got the T rating(Guess what? No woo hoo/babies, and no death). Will they cut out most features?

Also, on a Console Wars note, it annoys me how the Wii still got the short end of the stick. No uploading stuff, even though the PS3 and Xbox 360 equivalent’s have an “Exchange” of some sort. Oh sure, the “uploading and downloading” stuff are probably going to be prone to culling, and they probably will have a Store equivalent, too, but still, Nintendo’s too loyal to the “E” demographics.

Heck, even the Nintendo DS version seems to have new features!

I probably won’t get it, though I still know next to nothing about it.

As if I wasn’t mad at them Enough…

tsr

So, recently, The Sims Resource has been getting bad raps for being virus prone. I’ve been using the site since January 9, 2010, and nothing’s (luckily) happened to me. I liked how easy they set up their downloads. I liked their curly hair, their kid wrap hair, their toddler hair, and other stuff.

But, then, all their hair became either subscriber hair(Which looked really nice), or free hair(Which wasn’t the best). It’s like they stopped making nice free hair downloads, trying to get people to pay. This isn’t really an issue for me seeing as I have enough hair downloads for girls, but for guy hair, it’s practically impossible to find a decent free download. Yeah, sure, there’s always exchange searching, but that’s too tedious.

And now, they’re pretty much telling people “Avoid this loading screen by paying”? Ugh.

Remember these?

farmville4

Remember in January when Farmville had Clydesdale horses for limited time? Yeah, so do I.

Sims 3 Rehab

So, yesterday, I think I found an alternative to Sims 3: Zoo Tycoon 2. No, I don’t mean it like “Replacement Alternative”, but a PC game alternative. Getting custom content is easier for it. :P

Well, I began to play it again yesterday and it felt fun.

Blog Revamp

So I gave the blog a makeover, via Draft Blogger. Now my blog (hopefully) looks better. What do you readers think?

Now, off to some legacy writing.

True Life: I actually liked True Jackson, VP, and Good Luck, Charlie.

So, this week I have spring break. Well, the weather’s not really the best to go outside in, so I’ve been inside almost all the break. This has given me a chance to watch some good old Fios on Demand. I watched some Good Luck, Charlie episodes, a Sonny with a Chance episode, and some True Jackson, VP.
It bugs me how they barely update the iCarly section. Seriously, Nickelodeon, if I have to watch your channel 24/7 to see some new iCarly, you lost a fan(When isn’t iGive Away a Car or iPie on? When was the last time you saw iCarly Awards?).
Anyway, here’s what I have to say about the shows:
Good Luck, Charlie: On Wikipedia, it seems like the executives wanted to make this show perfect. I mean, they changed the kid’s names a lot, because they wanted to make it ‘include everyone.’ O.o They also credit themselves with making it adult friendly. I understand you can’t make the entire 23 minutes for adults, but really, it’s not that hard to have a B plot (Or C Plot) for the adults.
And the characters… well… they need some work. Teddy is too much of a Mary Sue, but at least she hasn’t sung anything yet. P.J. is the “Working Class Equivalent” of Newt Livingston, another character he played on Cory in the House. They both are dumb, and guitar players. Really, is it that hard to come up with new personalities, or even try new archetypes? Gabe seems like a less annoying version of Max from Wizards, or Zack from The Suite Life. I say less annoying because he seems to be neglected.
Sonny with a Chance: The new episodes seem good, because they aren’t just Sonny/Chad shippings. Yeah they’re really ridiculous, but it’s working. Apparently, Raven Symone is going to guest star? And they’re having a parody of High School Musical, too. This season’s looking good so far.
True Jackson, VP: Well, not much to say, but they mentioned Lady Gaga in the episode True Drama, which I thought was cool.

No Pets, Please

So if you’ve been reading the blog lately, you’ll know how I feel about Ambitions, and how I could wait for a Pets expansion. Some people, however, can’t.

Jaghar7 pretty much summed my thoughts up in one sentence.

I Know How You Feel

I’m guilty of the same. More or less because I don’t know how to download .rar files. :x I see lots of good hair styles, but they’re mostly .rar format, so the exchange is the only way for me to get CC.

Oh, and if anyone’s feeling generous, could you make Sims(preferably male) with good CC hair and put them up as a household? Major appreciation.

It’s about time!

http://www.nowgamer.com/features/636/ambitious-sims-3-ambitions-interview?o=0#listing

There finally is more information about Ambitions. Specifically, traits. While I do like traits, I find it annoying how they give us so few for toddlers and babies, then they give us thousands of options for the older stages, which gets annoying. Seriously, kids could fish, but not garden? You’ll have to be a teen to be charismatic? You’ll need to be a kid to be lucky? Yup. Some of it doesn’t make sense. Anyway, there are gonna be four new traits (and probably hidden ones too), which made me happy. Dramatic could go well with Over-Emotional, Family-Oriented or Hopeless Romantic or Commitment Issues , or Neurotic. I’m not too thrilled with the Savvy and Eccentric names, but more with Savvy for sculpting. Alliteration, yes. Clever, not really. Then there’s an Environmentally Conscious one (Please tell me there’s a shorter catchier name for it), which is probably going to spawn combos with Loves the Outdoors, Green thumb, and Vegetarian. Oh well.

(Animal) Farmville

What used to be a free game is driving me crazy. They used to have free items, with some premium things, but Zynga then made more premium stuff, with less free things. They often expect us to post stuff in our news feeds to advertise their game to others. They recently had this building event where you had to send items to neighbors, and if you sent 10 of each, you could get a Maison. As if this wasn’t hard enough, they decided to make it limited time. What’s worse is that other Zynga games liked that idea, and you could see a “Send gifts to your friends to win” type of thing in most Zynga games. And now?

farmville

Oh, if only it was that easy.

farmville2

Yup, three of them are for Farm Cash, and their food is for Farm Cash, too. And for those you don’t play Farmville, Farm Cash= real money, and 300,000 is still a lot of coins. And the only way I got $17 Farm Cash is because they used to give free Farm Cash every time you’d level up. But that was in September, where Zynga was nice to us.

farmville3

Yup, you have to feed them with Farm Cash costing kibble. And they could run away. After those 14 days, you’ll have to buy them too. Also, you can’t get the ‘Chocolate’ or ‘Black’ color options unless you want to give some money.

Honestly, Farmville’s been bugging me. I thought this was a free game. Now it’s just “You could play for free, in the way you could look for tokens on the floor to use for the crane game in the arcade.'” Seriously .-.

3 School Days until Break

So, Spring Break’s next week, but end of the marking period stuff is making it seem further. I have tons of stuff to do, so typing this probably isn’t a good suggestion. D:

In other news, Victorious is annoying. Nick’s been trying to keep Victoria Justice around for so long, it’s not even funny. Zoey 101, iCarly, Spectacular!, now her own show? Seriously? .-. Her singing’s not even that good, so they could’ve make her go to that school on an acting scholarship, but of course, that would mean no soundtrack, so no money for Nick. There’s a good chance she’s gonna get the guy who she kissed in the sketch scene(Not sure what it’s called), and she’ll eventually befriend the rival girl who spilled water on her.

The Sonny with a Chance episodes were… different. On the plus side, no Sonny/Chad shipping moments! That’s a first. Honestly, why is it whenever a show has two characters (or more), there has to be a shipping? The skinny jeans episode was funny, and the Gassie one was decent. At least an episode actually revolved around a sketch.

Until Friday, I’ll be busy getting writer’s cramps and test anxiety.

The Sims 3 Ambitions: Predictions

Well, Ambitions has been announced for more than a month now, and we still know about the same amount of features as we did a month ago. Yet, people are speculating more than people did for Carly Simon’s song You’re so Vain. Will there be a new neighborhood? Rabbit holes? Where will all these buildings go? How about the older jobs? What will happen with those? Well, here are my guesses:

  • Ghostbusters will be everywhere: The Sims community pretty much unanimously accepted this feature. Everything else pretty much had complaints in some form or another.
  • The Time Machine won’t actually take people anywhere, and it will probably just be a ‘rabbit hole’: No, not like a location, but probably just like the VR goggles, nothing you could see, just gives you messages.
  • There probably will be lifetime wish combinations with the new skills: Sculpting + Painting + Guitar/Writing combination? Inventing + Handiness?
  • New Traits: Probably something for ghost hunting, and the inevitable skill helpers.

And on a random yet related note, do the following Sims look like Celebrities(Or at least somewhat)?

Pink?

And she does have tattoos. Speaking of tattoos….

Amy Winehouse? And she also has tattoos.
