The Sims 3 Ambitions

If you follow Sims 3 gossip, then you’ll know that the next expansion pack was rumored to be The Sims 3 Hobbies and Professions. From the name, it sounded like a Free time remake, and possibly Open for Business. Some people thought (or hoped) it would be The Sims 3 City Life, combining elements of Night Life and Apartment Life. Some hoped that the next expansion would be Farm Life. Anyway. Amazon did a poor job at hiding the next expansion pack, and these photos got leaked:

After, The Sims 3 Team admitted this will be the next expansion pack. Whether they did this willingly or reluctantly is unknown. According to The Sims Wiki, Servos will come back, and there will be three new skills- sculpting, inventing, and tattooing. This will include ghost hunting and firefighting as careers, as well as other careers. Allegedly, being an architect could make you in charge of the town’s designs, and stylists could make neighborhood fashions. Apparently, we’ll be able to control our Sim’s actions at work too(So will this be more specific than options like “Work Hard” and “Meet Coworkers”?).

Honestly, I slightly am disappointed. I was hoping for more hobbies. Children need more stuff to do at home, and so do the Sims when they’re not at work. So far, it sounds better than World Adventures, mainly because your Sims could always use these jobs, while your Sims can’t always be on vacation. I’d like to hear more about this expansion, though.

However, the Sims community was split. Some were excited and accepted this expansion pack with open arms while singing ghost busters, others were pleading for their beloved Pets (Which, for the record, I could wait for. Before Sims 3, all I had was Sims 2 Pets for the Wii, so I’m slightly irked with Pets), while others wanted seasons. And some still wanted farms (For the record, I’m against Sims having Farms, mainly because it’s not a broad topic, and there’s always Farmville). Others wanted all the bugs to be fixed, first.
