Disney xD Fail

Last Sunday, I mentioned how The Nanny was being taken off nick@nite, but apparently, it’s still on. So um, I was wrong.

And on another note, Disney XD is making a sitcom called Pair of Kings which involves Mitchell Musso of Hannah Montana fame, and Doc Shaw, of The Suite Life on Deck fame. Or House of Payne fame. Anyway, they go from being normal fraternal twins living in Chicago into heirs to a throne in a foreign, make believe tropical island.

Yeah, how are they fraternal twins? I don’t mean to be offensive to biracial families or whatever, but it bothers me how Disney couldn’t find actors who are the same ethnicity to play twins. They don’t even look alike otherwise. Seriously, Disney? They could’ve just say they’re stepsiblings or cousins or something.

And why are they getting their own show? At 19, Mitchell is too old for Disney with Hannah Montana ending, and he’s not going to be taken seriously with a Disney xD sitcom. And at 18, Doc Shaw should be looking for other projects, too. Not to mention, Doc Shaw wasn’t exactly a good actor on The Suite Life on Deck, seeing as he just shouted all his lines, and complained about not being famous anymore.

This Friday, there’s going to be a sneak peek of this show on Disney Channel. Honestly, I’m kind of confused, because Disney xD’s a premium channel, so if a kid likes the preview on Disney Channel, are they just going to tell their parents to buy the package with Disney xD? Disney tends to do this a lot. They’ve had “Special Previews” of their other Disney xD shows, like Zeke and Luther and I’m in the Band. Other than the obvious reason (Money), why do they do this so much? Disney xD’s targeted toward boys, and Disney Channel is more for girls, so how do they expect these crossover things to work?

Oh, and that Chuck kid from iCarly’s also going to be on Pair of Kings, so yeah.
